Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed their first child in Los Angeles on Friday, E! Entertainment News reported.

No further details were available but it is believed the 27-year-old Grammy winner and her husband announced the birth of a baby boy to her friends and family with a quick text message around 4pm, Friday.

"Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well!" the text reportedly said.

It’s reported that the pop star gave birth at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, just down the corridor from fellow Nicole Richie, who had a little girl.

Aguilera and Bratman were married in November, 2005.

London, Jan 14: Singer Beyonce Knowles’ sister Solange has offered some words of comfort to Britney Spears pregnant teenage sister Jamie Lynn.

Sixteen-year-old Jamie revealed last month that she is pregnant. Solange was 17 years old when she gave birth to her first child, contactmusic.com reports.

Solange admits that she has no regrets having a child at such a young age and believes that all women have it in them to become great mothers.

She said: "I have been so blessed that my son is the coolest kid ever. Of course, that first year of not sleeping and just being dedicated to him had tough parts but that’s fine. It’s been a blast for me.

"A lot of people have doubts, but when you have a child I think it takes a really non-emotional person not to have a blast, no matter what age. I’ve heard stories of people who were 14 that had kids and basically snapped into it and got into the groove of motherhood. I think that emotional attachment, there’s nothing out of it that you could regret."
